Larger Men: Larger Men, the sequel
Hi everyone, Noodles and Beef here, I’m taking over the LargerMen tumblr space.
I’m very curious to find out what happened with the old LargerMen. Did the owner have a popularity melt-down? Did his blog get hacked?
I have my own ideas…but, what matters now is that we return to your regularly…
I initially thought that you were largermen. I once responded to one of his intentional/unintentional post-meltdown messages and slyly hinted at the fact that he tended to only converse with you when he kept wishing for a “community” of like-minded folks for his blog. However, I think he unfollowed then blocked me because my comments never showed up. Anyway, one practice I didn’t quite appreciate from him was his disregard of noting his original sources (of course that’s never usually possible, but at least try!); also, he relished the fact that he refused to cite his sources. So I’m just saying this because I appreciate the fact that you realized that too and have taken a proactive approach to bringing back Larger Men’s once proud, storied history. Hopefully he doesn’t sue you for taking his name, but, hey, he doesn’t own it anymore, correct? :P
Yikes! I am definitely not the original owner of this blog. This is also my first foray into “Curating” content instead of “Creating,” so bear with me while I figure out whats worth posting.
I wanted to keep my blog (which has original content) seperate from the reblog/meta/cruft of most tumblr blogs. So if you saw me posting on old LargerMen a lot, it’s because he had a very big audience and often accepted my submissions.
He does not “own” the largermen account anymore. It seems like when you delete it, tumblr renames all references to your account as “username-deleted1234” (or something like that) and then anyone can register the old screenname.
